Scope
This East African Standard covers the safety requirements for the integrity and security of fuel tanks, fuel tank filters, delivery pipes and fuel tank connections, used on automotive vehicles to minimise fire hazards resulting from fuel spillage during and after crash and/or collision. This East African Standard applies to motor cars, mini-buses, motor omni buses, heavy commercial vehicles, commercial vehicles and special types of motor vehicles.
