Scope
This East African Standard specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for fruit juices, puree, pulp and nectars intended for direct human consumption or for further processing. This standard also applies to the following fruit juices: a) concentrated fruit puree; b) concentrated fruit juices; c) fruit juice from concentrate; d) water extracted fruit juice; e) dehydrated fruit juice; and f) fruit juice powder. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (EAS 948:2019), which has been technically revised.
